"Style is a simple way of saying complicated things." Jean Cocteau
This Fall/Winter season I’m all about introducing colours and patterns to my wardrobe. I’ve been the Queen of black pretty much my entire life and I love how blogging has encouraged me to explore new styles, textures and colours! My wardrobe has gone through a major metamorphosis over the last few months, so much that nowadays I find it odd wearing an all black outfit! I still like the classy and elegant look of black but I love mixing old favourites with new colour rich obsessions even more.
As the days get shorter and the temperatures get colder, colour is the best way to energize our looks. Contrary to popular belief, you can wear any colour whenever you want regardless of season.
I’m feeling so inspired by the beauty of autumn now and it wouldn’t be complete without shades of red. Always dependable, always flattering and blending all these together with some darker shades creates the perfect fall outfit!
I can’t imagine fall without rich lush reds… oversized sweaters, suede ankle boots, and sculpted bags. My latest obsession is this Valentino bags trio (sold out).
These bags can be worn in as many ways as you like. You can swap the shopper bag with the tote one as your main accessory to go. I keep wearing these two interchangeably. On a night out I use the shopper one as my carry bag to hold all the party accessories and a change of clothes with the tote as my handheld. It works out perfectly. I also love travelling with this trio, I use them on weekend excursions, I take them to the gym with me, and so much more. These are my go-to everyday bags! Practicality and chic all in one (or rather three!).
You can probably tell from my Instagram that rustic colours, shades of brown, boots, and cosy fall layers are all finally coming into play.
This gorgeous Lavish Alice cape overlay wool coat somehow never feels out of place. I’m quite happy that fashion has evolved past old rules because the one thing that continually never fails to make me feel confident is prints. This season, I’m really drawn towards pattern and colour because they’re cheerful and add a fun touch to my outfits! What I love about this one is the abstract print and the slightly oversized fit perfect for pairing with OTK boots, or in this case, denim and ankle boots. You can’t fail its versatility!
These Faith Stiletto Boots are a fairly recent find and definitely one of my favourite pairs at the moment. I love their versatility and the way I can wear them with denim or pretty cocktail dresses. I adore the buckle detail on the side, because as you well know when it comes to shoes, I live for those special little details! Most importantly I love how surprisingly comfortable they are! I can wear them all day long and my feet are perfectly happy!
Many of my prints inspired outfits are purchased from ASOS, NEXT or VERY and I especially like to buy them during sales because you can get up to 70% off of a lot of styles. The sale is currently ongoing on all these sites and sizes are going quick, so don’t wait around! This Lavish Alice coat is currently on sale (£88 from £110) however it’s selling really quick! I also can’t resits DUNE with its fantastic range of animal print shoes, boots and bags! KAREN MILLEN and FOREVER UNIQUE are also sources of great inspiration when comes to print and knit fashion and not only.
