Teeth whitening kits are not something I'd normally try, but when I asked my dentist how much they could do it for, I was like NOPE I'll do it myself for that price! Dentists are dam expensive now a days. I suppose some people would say its worth the £500, but I'd rather leave my teeth how they are and go on holiday with that kind of money. And that's where this Marbonne Teeth Whitening Kit comes in that I've been trying out recently.
The kit comes with a UV light that clips easily onto the silicone/gel style teeth guard. It also comes with an instruction leaflet that is very easy to follow when it comes with pictures as well as words, as lets be honest, who has time for reading the instructions and who can be bothered these days? So pictured instructions are always better for time saving. The gel that come in syringes make it easier to apply the whitening gel to the teeth guard. You don't need to add too much product to be honest either, but I like to add a little extra to make sure my teeth get covered all over.
The UV light has it's own timer which stays on for 10 minutes lit up and once it's finished it will beep and the light will turn off. Easy peasy! I've been using this mainly in the evenings when I'm sat just doing something or just sitting scrolling through my phone as the time passes so quickly without you realising. So let's see what the results of this kit gave me over a 6 day period.
The kit also comes with a teeth colour chart, where I was closest to a 6 with my teeth colour, so my hopes were to get at least a few shades lighter. So after 6 days of trying this out straight, we've finally found out I've gone only 1 shade lighter. But then when I brush my teeth they actually look whiter...So I'm not sure whether its gone up by 2 shades or not? This was definitely worth a try just to see if it works. If I'd have had more gel and done it straight for about 2 weeks I think it would of made even more of a difference, 6 days didn't do too much of a change, but I can see some slight differences to my teeth colour.
So that's my thoughts on this kit, Day 1 was a shade 6 and day 6 was a shade 4/5. These kits retail at £21.99 on Amazon. Would you ever try this teeth whitening kit out or have you tried any teeth whitening kits out before? What's your thoughts on DIY whitening on your teeth?
